Choosing a distributor for my reggae magazine was a difficult choice. There are currently no reggae magazine's in the UK (that I am aware of), so I could not base my decision on current trends. Both IPC Media, and Bauer Publishing are possibilities, due to them both publishing popular music magazines.
I would choose 'Future PLC' to distribute my magazine. They publish other specialist magazines, such as Total Guitar, Rhythm and Classic Rock. All of those magazine focus on a specialist musical topic e.g. guitars or the classic rock genre. Reggae is would fit in well with the current trends of Future PLC. Reggae is a fairly niche musical style. In the UK, a reggae magazine would most probobly not be commercially viable due to a small target auidence residing in the UK.

Why would reggae fit in well with current trends of Future PLC? Explain further. Also, do you think the TA is big enough for your magazine to be commercially viable?
